These are the core beliefs that we hold.
There is but one God
We believe that there is one God with three manifestations – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (The Holy Trinity). All three being co-equal and one God. [Genesis 1:1, 26, 27, 3:22; Psalms 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14]
Jesus
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and co-equal with God. That He was born of the virgin Mary being conceived by the Holy Spirit, lived a sinless life, fulfilled all the prophecies regarding the Messiah, died on the cross as the atonement for our sins, rose on the third day and was witnessed by numerous people, ascended to Heaven, and is currently at the right hand of the Father awaiting His triumphant return. [Matthew 1:22–23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1–5, 14:10–30; Hebrew 4:14–15, 1 Corinthians 15:3; Romans 1:3–4; Acts 1:9–11; 1 Timothy 6:14]
The Holy Spirit
The Spirit is in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation as the evidence of our being in the Kingdom of God. He empowers believers with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and gives guidance in doing what is godly and right. He gives every believer a spiritual gift(s) when they are saved. [2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7, 13, 14:16 – 17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:18]
The Bible
The Bible is God’s word to us. It was written by human authors being supernaturally guided by the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is fully inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error. [2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20–21; 2 Timothy 1:13; Psalms 119:105 & 160, 12:6; Proverbs 30:5]
People and
the Forgiveness of Sin
All people have sinned and therefor fall short of God’s glory. We require atonement for our sins to be in everlasting communion with God. Jesus paid the price once on the cross and is our one and only perfect atoning sacrifice. No one can work for their salvation, it is only through Christ that salvation is available. We are to repent (turn from) our sins. Eternal life in God’s Kingdom begins at salvation. [Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8 – 9; John 14:6; 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1]
